Welcome to the website of Emelyan Savostin. Cotton Wool Mill  Limited Liability Company, the largest medical cotton wool manufacturer in Russia and CIS countries.

The cotton wool mill was founded by local entrepreneurs in 1870, right in the center of Meshchera, a natural reserve in the Ryazan region of Russia. Outfitted with the newest machinery, the mill was a profitable venture and its products were widely sold all over Russian Empire, and supplied to the Imperial Army as well. After nationalization in 1918, the mill at various times was part of Klepiki cotton wool trust and Vatiz joint stock company. On April 30, 1997 the mill separated into an independent limited liability company Emelyan Savostin. Cotton Wool Mill named after its 19th century founder, merchant Emelyan Savostin.

The company also incorporates Zavidovo Chemical Production, Ltd. (Tver Region) and Mtilon, Ltd. (Ryazan), the only Russian manufacturers of cotton bleached to modern standards, as well as Urals Cotton Wool Company, Ltd (Yekaterinburg) dealing in promotion of Emelyan Savostin brand products in the Urals, Siberia, Far Eastern and Far Northern regions of Russia.
